A bit about me

Hi, I’m Halyna

I’m a dog sitter with 15 years of experience. My partner and I both grew up surrounded by animals, and dogs have always been part of our lives. We treat every dog – whatever the size, age or breed – as our own. To us, dogs are family, and that is how they are treated.

We both work from home and have no dog of our own, so our guests get all the attention they deserve. The goal is simple: your dog has a calm, happy time with us and goes home with a proper doggy grin.

It seems my old Vince, soon 14, had a lovely long weekend with Halyna. Halyna is very kind, pays close attention to what is best for the dog and adapts accordingly. I would absolutely recommend Halyna as a dog sitter – wholeheartedly.

Halyna looked after our dog for 4 days. She communicated kindly and quickly, sent updates along the way, and our dog seemed safe and settled when we picked him up. She was looking after several dogs at once, but it went well.

Halyna passet hunden vår i 4 døgn. Hun kommuniserte vennlig og raskt. Gav oppdatering på hvordan det gikk, undervegs, og hunden virket trygg da vi hentet ham. Hun passet flere hunder samtidig, men det gikk fint.

We are very happy with Kodah’s stay with Halyna. He was well cared for, got lots of attention and seemed very safe and content when we picked him up. Halyna was also good at socialising him with other dogs in a calm, gentle way. It was clear she cared that he had a good time. We felt confident Kodah was in good hands, and we will happily use Halyna again. Recommended!

Anbefales!

Frequently asked questions

How many dogs do you look after at once?

We only take a few dogs at a time, so everyone gets enough attention. Feel free to ask who else is staying on your dates.

What’s the difference between boarding and day care?

With boarding, your dog stays overnight with us, for example while you’re on holiday. With day care, your dog spends the day with us and goes home the same day.

Can you look after my dog while we visit Kristiansand Zoo?

Yes. Dogs aren’t allowed in Dyreparken, but your dog can spend the day at day care with us while you’re in the park.

Which dogs do you take?

Dogs of all sizes, from under 7 kg to over 45 kg – young and old. We have experience with senior dogs and dogs with special needs.

Can you give medication?

Yes. We can give oral medication, and Halyna knows first aid and CPR. Tell us what your dog needs and when, and we’ll follow it carefully.

Will I get updates while I’m away?

Yes, you’ll get photos and videos while your dog is with us.

Where in Kristiansand are you?

We live in Kristiansand, a short walk from the park. You’ll get the exact address once the stay is agreed.

What should I bring?

Your dog’s usual food, lead and harness, any medication – and ideally something that smells of home, like a blanket or a favourite toy.

How much does it cost?

Everything starts at NOK 800 per night or day, and a second dog from the same household is NOK 600. See all prices on the prices page.
